Off the front is a screened porch equipped for both outside dining and relaxing, and sits just feet from the waterfront providing a fantastic, intimate view of Canandaigua Lake. The second floor is made for sleeping, with 4 cottage size bedrooms and a second full bathroom equipped with a tub/shower combo. There are 55 linear feet of beach adjoining the lake with mostly break wall and some gradual entry for launching the canoe. Swimming can be weedy off this breakwall, but offshore, off a boat the swimming is good. Fishing is great off the dock or even from the canoe as well! For avid boaters, just across the lake in Woodville is a public boat launch, and a marina as well, so boating and access in this fisherman's paradise is a breeze! For nature lovers, this property looks out over a nature preserve abundant with fish and wildlife, many different plant species and an internal canal system that can be accessed by the boats provided, and Cummings Nature Center is just a short 10 minute drive from the cottage. The quaint village of Naples is just down the road, where guests can enjoy a variety of dining experiences or visit the Hazlitt Red Cat Vineyard for a wine tasting. If winter adventure is more your style, Bristol Mountain Ski Resort is just over the hill for downhill skiing and snowboarding, or for more sedate exploration visit the Nature Center and enjoy an afternoon of cross country skiing on their nature trails. Location, Location, Location!!! How true. Lovely old home on Canandaigua available, with dock, 3600 pound hoist, and 50' lake frontage. Sleeps eight, plus futon on porch and pullout bed in main-room couch. New kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, etc. New floor throughout main floor. No TV, for we enjoy the lake instead. On east side and our sunsets are gorgeous. Fire pit, plenty of chairs, and picnic table lakeside. Lovely vacation spot. This charming cottage is lake side, on the east side of Canandaigua Lake, which surveys say competes with Tahoe as "the prettiest lake in the country". This house sits on Nibawauka Beach, serviced by a private road coming off East Lake Road that leads to a private access road for all the cottages on the Beach. Our neighbors are wonderful people and many of them are year-round residents. There are a couple of families with active children. So we tell prospective renters right away that this is not a "party house". It is a lovely spot on a lovely lake but if you're interested in late night action you should look elsewhere. The house is lovely, but basic, and sleeps eight. No chrome. No plastic. No TV---but you're welcome to bring your own. A Bose radio is included. Wi-fi is available. There are four bedrooms, a sleeping porch on the second floor, and a fold-out couch on the front (lakeside) porch. The dining room table seats eight or ten. New floor throughout main floor. The living room has three comfortable arm chairs and the large sofa, as well as a very efficient gas heater for the "cool" days. The kitchen has a gas stove, plenty of pots and pans, plenty of dishes and glasses, standard electric "fridge" and freezer, and lots of light. There is a full bathroom upstairs and a toilet in the barn out back. We are on city water, city gas, and city plumbing. Outside, the front (lakeside) lawn has a large picnic table with benches, another smaller round table with four separate chairs, and several very comfortable old "sitting" chairs. Shade is provided by a maple on one side and three shade trees on the other, but the middle of the lawn is open and sunny The lake is down a flight of concrete steps to a concrete dock and an extended aluminum dock that leads out about fifty feet. The water at the end of that dock is only about 5 feet deep. An adult can walk out about 100' into the lake and still have his/her head above water. Several times a day several families of ducks paddle calmly past us, but we don't feed them. The Canandaigua Yacht Club is directly across from us and the weekend races are delightful to watch from our front lawn. City-run fireworks are easily seen from the lawn. The sun and moon set calmly over the hills on the other side of the lake over a mile away. We have a sturdy boat hoist that is listed to handle up to 3600 pounds of boat. It is electrically powered to lift and lower. Fishing is productive at times right off the end of the dock, and certainly better if one takes a boat out into the lake. Rock bass, sunfish, perch, "punkin seeds", etc. are commonly caught and released. Pickerel, large- and small-mouth bass, three species of trout, and catfish are also caught in the lake. The "barn" in not included in the rental program. But it has a fully functional toilet in a a room just inside the back door that is very convenient. The lawn between the house and barn is a pleasant place to sit and let the world go by. Garbage service is included in the rental and is collected once a week. Adequate parking is provided just off the beach road beyond the barn on our "very back yard". We are starting some small silver maples to replace someday the big ones along the private road, so please don't drive over the little ones. Thank you. The nearest grocery store is about a mile and a half north and it's WEGMANS, on Rt 5&20 just past the Post Office and before the larger shopping center a bit further west on 5&20. Walmart's, Lowe's, and the movie theater are all around the same distance from the cottage on 5&20 to the east. Canandaigua itself has numerous restaurants of all types. The town's Main Street is wide, with flowers in the business area, and has lovely stately homes in the residential area to the north. Finger Lakes Community College is a mile north on East Lake Road and hosts musical programs in its CMAC outdoor pavilion nearly every week during the summer. Kershaw Park is at the north end of the lake, about a mile by boat from our site, and has a large sand beach with wadeable water out nearly 200 yards. We hope you never need it, but Canandaigua's excellent Thompson Memorial Hospital, associated with the University of Rochester Medical Center, is only a short distance away from us. Ambulance service is efficient In short, our cottage is in a particularly nice location, privately situated but with easy access to amenities, golf, wineries, and local attractions. Ice cream shops are a short boat ride away, as are good restaurants. Sunsets are miraculously beautiful. Oh, and our "very back yard" is large, grassed, protected, and perfect for children's games, golfer's chipping, and bocce contests. Come, enjoy, relax, and love the lake. Descending 22 more steps takes you to the lake pebble beach and large 12 foot by 44 foot dock. Wade into the water, lounge on the deck or jump in from the dock and cool off. The neighborhood The property is near the southern end of the Canandaigua Lake on the east side. Because it is on the east side it enjoys long, sunny afternoons and beautiful sunsets. The lake is about one mile wide at this location and has little boat traffic. South Lake Road is a dead end road that is very lightly traveled only by residents. Other things to note My husband John and I were fortunate to have the opportunity to acquire four properties on south Lake Road. Three of these are directly adjacent to one another and the fourth is only 900 feet away. All together these properties can accommodate up to thirty people. This is a great place to enjoy the lake provided you don't mind older structures. "The Green Cottage" is located 3 miles south of the Canandaigua City line and is on the eastern shore of the lake. The evenings often treat us to spectacular sunsets. The cottage is very convenient to shopping, dining and entertainment. It’s a great place to set the electronic aside and re-connect with real life. “The Green Cottage” is a two story 1880’s lakeside cottage that received some updates and renovation in the 1990’s. The sole bathroom (shower only) is down and the 3 bedrooms are up. The staircase going up has slightly smaller tread than modern builds. The flooring on the second floor is unfinished pine with area rugs. There is no central heat or air-conditioning and the living room fireplace is facade only (no liner and cannot be used). A plug in heater is available but rarely needed. The 1st floor has ceiling fans in several rooms and the enclosed porch has multiple sliding doors with screens. This space stays cool with the use of a couple of box fans. There are rotary fans for each of the bedrooms. The lake breeze & a few fans usually provide a very comfortable environment. The interior living space has ample seating arrangements, a TV & WiFi. The enclosed front porch has a couch, a couple of easy chairs, a long buffet table and 3 round dining tables for eating, card playing and smiling face to smiling face conversing. The decks have wood chairs, a wood glider, tables with benches and one of the tables has an umbrella. The circle drive is good for 2 – 3 cars and auxiliary parking is available on the basketball court located uphill to the south. A public boat launch is at the west end of Lakeshore Drive. There are sprinkler heads in the grass near the pavement and NO grass parking or driving is allowed. A bocce ball court is available. The court is generally weed-free with cinders - always check for ground bees before tossing the first ball. Game balls are in the dining room bench seat as well as a badminton set. A kayak and rowboat may be used at your own risk provided they are returned to the area where they were taken. Oars and life jackets are located in the shed on the porch. Some life jackets are family acceptable but not in great condition. The family skis & tow ropes should not be used. There are numerous clean towels in the bathroom closet and clean bedding on the beds. Toilet paper and soap is provided. There will be random cleaning supplies in the cabinets and a first aid kit is located in the cabinet over the toilet. There is also an average size "basic" grill on the backside of the cottage that you may use. Guests are responsible for all their other provisions including the use of their own beach towels. The stacker style washer/dryer is small and not hi-efficiency but may be used. It cannot be left unattended. Guests are not responsible for the cleaning of sheets or bath/kitchen towels. Heavy items like beach towels, sweatshirts, jeans etc. can’t be laundered on site. It is most definitely not the Hilton but it is a clean, family friendly modernized 1800's cottage. The decks and the dock will be swept prior to your arrival however the nut trees and the ducks have never been cooperative with immaculate management. We live in the year-round home behind the cottage and always reserve our right to access our boat but will not access any other area of the property including the beach. Our lawn care man works on both our properties several mornings each week therefore no personal belongings can be left on the lawn for any extended period of time and definitely not overnight. This is a lovely neighborhood with a mix of seasonal and year-round residences. Our friends and extended family live close by and we are all very respectful of each other’s right to enjoy privacy, peace and night time quietness. Fun is welcomed but wildness isn’t tolerated. We are quite busy with our jobs and it is likely you'll never see us unless needed or required. A 4 day minimum stay is required. Move in is after 4 PM and move out is by 10AM. Our two-cottage lakeside compound is ideal for an extended family vacation. During midsummer, we rent the two cottages as a unit. Each cottage is fully equipped with kitchen and bath (two baths, in one case), fireplace, and screened porch. They share a generous lawn area with about 200 feet of level lakefront. If you are like our family, the group includes some active, athletic members and some who prefer to spend their vacation napping in the hammock or doing jigsaw puzzles. This set-up gives you a great combination of family togetherness and privacy. The eight-acre property is next to Menteth Creek and looks due south, toward the receding hills of Naples and toward Bare Hill on the east side, enjoying a stunning view from the west side of Canandaigua Lake. This property has been in the same family since 1922. The Stone Cottage was built in 1969, replacing an earlier cottage. It has a great room with stone fireplace, living-dining room, and an open stair up to the master suite. The kitchen has a pass-through to the screened dining porch with built-in grill. The living room has a sliding glass door to an open porch enclosed by a low stone wall. There is a rear porch off the kitchen with clotheslines for bathing suit and towel drying. The two first-floor bedrooms have twin beds and a full bath, while the upstairs master suite has a king size bed and a bath with shower. This house also has laundry facilities. Overall occupancy is six, and square footage is about 1600. An extra bonus - a grand piano! The smaller cottage was built in 1948 for our grandmother -- we call it Gram's House. If you visited your grandmother at a lakefront cabin, this cottage will seem very familiar. It has a large screened porch across the whole front of the house, with a dining room table that expands to seat ten -- also a chaise longue and wicker chairs, and a pass-through to the kitchen. The living room and kitchen are knotty pine with a stone fireplace. The house has three bedrooms, one with queen, one with twins, and one with bunk beds, plus one full-size bath. Occupancy is six, and square footage is about 900 square feet. The property has level lawns surrounding the cottages, plenty of parking space, and an open field between the cottage and West Lake Road, so there is plenty of privacy. There is a tennis court (good condition, shared) on the property, and lawn area for croquet, badminton, bocce, or frisbee. Our lakefront has a stone breakwall in front of the houses, a 16-foot wooden dock with ladder, a swim raft and a shale beach (perfect for stone skipping). Lake bottom is shale. Visitors will have the use of one canoe and one two-person kayak. We do not offer the use of any motorized boats, a hoist, or a mooring. However, past renters have brought their own or rented boats for daytime use from lakeside marinas. The shale beach area is level, so you can back a trailer to the lake and launch your small or mid-sized boat from there. The property has plenty of mature shade trees and perennial gardens. We have a large and heavily used bonfire spot near the beach. Indoors, there is no dishwasher, but we do have a washer and dryer, streaming TV, internet access, Wifi, and a VCR and DVD player. We only rent for a few weeks a year, typically in July and August, though we sometimes add some May, June, or September weeks to our schedule. The great room has beautiful timberframing, a stone fireplace and couches that are great for napping or enjoying the view of the Lake. Also included are two kayaks and a small rowboat for your fun. The lake front beach is screened from the neighboring properties creating a very private feel. The house is located at 1003 South Lake Road, about 1/2 mile south of Vine Valley (probably 4-5 miles north of the south end of the lake on the east side). The house is located across the road from the lake which is typical on South Lake Road. South Lake road is a narrow, dead-end road with very little traffic. Many people from the neighborhood enjoy walking, biking and jogging along the road as it has great views of the lake and many interesting houses. Two bedroom one bath cottage close to all Lake Canandaigua has to offer. House is across the street from the lake offering peekaboo lake views and shared lake access (with a couple other homes) located across the street where you can have a picnic, launch a kayak, or dip into the lake. We have one paddle board and two kayaks for your use. The lake front is across the lightly traveled, dead-end road and accessible by a well made metal 35 step staircase. The natural, lake pebble beach allows walk-in access and is supplemented by a 4 foot by 36 foot pier for lounging or that irresistible urge to do a cannonball plunge. The neighborhood The property is near the southern end of the Canandaigua Lake on the east side. Because it is on the east side it enjoys long, sunny afternoons and beautiful sunsets. The lake is about one mile wide at this location and has little boat traffic. South Lake Road is a dead end road that is very lightly traveled only by residents. Other things to note My husband John and I were fortunate to have the opportunity to acquire four properties on south Lake Road. Three of these are directly adjacent to one another and the fourth is only 900 feet away. All together these properties can accommodate up to thirty people. One of the properties has a large deck, a viewing platform overlooking the lake as well as a large dock. Two, three or all four of the properties can be rented for larger groups. We use a CDC-approved commercial grade disinfectant on all hard and soft surfaces throughout each home with increased focused on high touch point areas such as light switches, doorknobs, remotes, etc. These efforts provide you the peace of mind to experience a sanitized, clean, and disinfected home to enjoy. All of our rentals include professionally cleaned linens from our laundry facility that are washed, bleached, folded and wrapped by our staff wearing PPE. We do not outsource any linens, towels, or cleaning supplies. All of our guests also have the security of a local 24/7 manager on duty to respond to their needs throughout their stay.

Enjoy Canandaigua Lake from the fabulous screened in porch or from the 200 feet of private lake front. The bungalow features a newly renovated second floor great room and a new first floor bathroom - with large walk in shower. The upper level great room has 4 skylights/windows to let in the lake breeze and a wonderful lake-facing book-nook to curl up in and watch the lazy summer days go by... The space If you can imagine it, think of this as a 1920 era bungalow reinterpreted with a modern slant. You enter from a covered terrace into the cozy kitchen which opens to the dining area featuring a bay window. The dining area in turn opens to the living area with a beautiful (but not functional) stone fireplace. The first floor has two airconditioned bedrooms, one with a four post double bed and the other with a standard double bed. Both have closets. The bathroom between them has been fully renovated and has a large shower. There is also a second bathroom with a shower on the first floor. Arguably the best feature of the house is the lovely, screened-in front porch with a spectacular view of the lake. Open to the kitchen and dining area is the stair to the second floor. The stair is lit by one of three large sky lights /roof windows that bring a lovely open and airy feel to the large open space of the second floor. The space is furnished with two double beds and a twin bed and has plenty of extra space to accommodate your group. Facing the lake is a raised platform with a window alcove perfect for curling up with a good book or video game. The lake front is across the lightly traveled, dead-end road and accessible by a well made metal 35 step staircase. The natural, lake pebble beach allows walk-in access and is supplemented by a 4 foot by 36 foot pier for lounging or that irresistible urge to do a cannonball plunge. The neighborhood The property is near the southern end of the Canandaigua Lake on the east side. Because it is on the east side it enjoys long, sunny afternoons and beautiful sunsets. The lake is about one mile wide at this location and has little boat traffic. South Lake Road is a dead end road that is very lightly traveled only by residents. Other things to note My husband John and I were fortunate to have the opportunity to acquire four properties on south Lake Road. Three of these are directly adjacent to one another and the fourth is only 900 feet away. All together these properties can accommodate up to thirty people. One of the properties has a large deck, a viewing platform overlooking the lake as well as a large dock. Two, three or all four of the properties can be rented for larger groups. Weddings, corporate events or family gatherings can be accommodated. Need more sleeping space, there are two twin size beds in the boat house. This location is only minutes from Naples where you can enjoy hiking or a bite to eat. It is easy drive to Grimes Glen, a county park, to see the waterfalls and to Hazlitt's Cellars. There is great scenery and an obsession with grapes in this area of the Finger Lakes. The cottage will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected after each rental and ready for you to safely enjoy this beautiful location.

The cottage is located on 330 feet of level lake-front property on Sunny side Road in Middlesex, NY just 15 minutes outside of the quaint Village of Naples. Indoor Amenities: The cottage has an open floor plan with a 180 degree deck and views of the lake. The deck extends out over the water and is equipped with enough Adirondack and outdoor lounge chairs to seat the entire family! The first level also has brand new wood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways and the main sitting area is adorned with a decorative fireplace. In addition, the first level contains a bathroom, back-room area with pullout couch and 1 bedroom with a King-size bed. The second floor of the cottage is divided into two rooms. One yard has an extensive walk-in shale beach area for easy swimming access and water play. This side of the house has a shed full of floats, rafts, life jackets, and water toys which are available for guests to use. Guests will also have the freedom to use two kayaks, 1 canoe and 1 rowboat on the lake. The South end of the lake is much quieter than the North end with much less boat and human traffic. From The Cottage, there is easy access to the West River Marsh which contains easy paddling canals perfect for canoeing or kayaking. Smith Boys Marina is also directly across the lake with boat launch, gasoline fill-stations and boat rentals. The other yard has a large fire-pit perfect for camp fires and fireworks displays.
